The Petzl ABSORBICA-I VARIO Single Lanyard is designed for progression on a horizontal lifeline with the flexibility to be used on a rope or cable. It can also be used on an elevated platform without passing intermediate anchors. The VARIO adjustment system allows the lanyard length to be adjusted between 100 to 150 centimeters to reduce potential fall height. Energy is absorbed in the event of a fall through the tearing of the energy absorber webbing limiting the impact force on the user. Progressive tearing reduces the deceleration of lightweight users. This lightweight absorber weighs a little over half a pounds. The Durable fabric pouch with opening system at each end. This protects the energy absorber from abrasion or contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber. There are two options for installation on the harness depending on how you need to use the lanyard. The first is a frequent connection/disconnection combine a carabiner and the included STRING position accessory and the user is ready to go. There is also a semi-permanent connection with a RING OPEN gated ring whose circular shape ensures optimal positioning.
